MOTOR VEHICLES and TRANSPORT TECHNOLOGIES DEPARTMENT AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE
To provide training and internship opportunities in accordance with the bilateral protocol and agreement with Aksaray Daimler-Truck Mercedes Truck Factory and to provide students with job opportunities in the factory after graduation.
To provide job opportunities after graduation to students who are trained in authorised services and enterprises in Aksaray province.
To train intermediate manpower to work in the field of construction and maintenance-repair-service of motor vehicles used in road transport. Graduates can work in factories and workshops affiliated to the public and private sectors, as well as open private businesses.
AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMME COURSES
In addition to the basic courses such as engineering, physics, mathematics and technology, the following courses are offered in the automotive program:
Workplace and Sector Practices courses (training and automotive authorised services in accordance with the bilateral protocol and agreement with Aksaray Daimler-Truck Mercedes Truck Factory),
Internship Practices (Internship opportunity in training and automotive authorised services in accordance with the bilateral protocol and agreement with Aksaray Daimler-Truck Mercedes Truck Factory),
Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fuel Cells, Energy Management, Fluid Mechanics, Machine Elements, Exergy and Thermoeconomic Analysis courses,
Service and Engine, Combustion Technology, and Computer Aided Design (Automotive Workshop) courses.
INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Students are sent to internship in Aksaray Mercedes Truck Factory and automotive authorised services for 30 working days directly according to their grade point average.
In addition, they have the opportunity to work in small, medium, and large enterprises such as manufacturing, maintenance-repair, projects, planning, machine drawing and construction departments, machine tools, and CNC machining centres of factories and enterprises related to the automotive industry in domestic and foreign public institutions and the private sector.
Titles and Jobs of Graduates
Graduates of the Automotive programme are given the title of "Automotive Technician". Automotive technicians work in the fields of manufacturing, processing, maintenance, repair, and service of the engine parts and equipment of motor vehicles. Automotive technicians ensure the execution of planned work under the supervision and management of mechanical and automotive engineers in factories.
JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Especially in accordance with the protocol and agreement with Aksaray Mercedes Truck Factory, Aksaray University Automotive Technology graduates have priority.
