Aksaray University Vocational School of Technical Sciences, Vocational School of Technical Sciences, Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies Automotive Technology Programme, first started to give associate degree education under the name of Selçuk University Vocational School Technical Programmes Automotive Technology Programme in the 1986–87 academic year. Then, in 1992, it continued as the Vocational School Technical Programs Automotive Technology Program within Niğde University.
As of 2006–2007, Aksaray University Vocational School Technical Programmes Automotive Technology Programme continued its education under the name of Aksaray University Vocational School Technical Programmes Automotive Technology Programme. As of 2012, Aksaray University Vocational School of Technical Sciences, Vocational School of Technical Sciences, Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies, continues to provide associate degree education under the Automotive Technology Programme. Education and training activities in the department are carried out by 1 Professor Doctor Faculty Member and 2 Lecturer Doctor (theoretical, workshop, and private sector applications).
